A word about our name
From Sufi Healing Order to Inayatiyya Healing
When the Indian mystic and musician Hazrat Inayat Khan founded this tradition in the West around 100 years ago, he called it the Sufi Healing Order and it has been well known by that name for more than 70 years. Due to the fact that in our day there are diverse Sufi Orders, in 2016, his grand‑son Pir Zia chose to change our name from the Sufi Order to Inayati Order, and now to the Inayatiyya. Inayat is the heart quality of loving kindness.
Today the Sufi Healing Order is called Inayatiyya Healing (or Inayatiyya Healing Activity).
The titles on our website, 'Inayatiyya Healing', 'Inayati Healing' and 'The Sufi Healing Order', all refer to the same international network and tradition, in this case with the focus being on Europe. This website is an exploration of the many decades of spiritual healing experience and teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan, his son Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan and his grandson Pir Zia Inayat Khan.
